STEVE EPPERLY
Steve Epperly was born in Corvallis, OR, and began racing Go-Karts at the age of 8. He crewed for many teams in the ’70s and early ’80s in SCCA Nationals, Trans-Am, and IMSA GTU, working on BMWs, Datsun 510s, and Z cars. He also campaigned his own 510 in B-Sedan during that time.
Steve has experience in road racing, motocross, and flat track motorcycle racing. Along with his dad, he builds their race cars from the frame up (including the frame itself).
He has raced in SCCA Nationals and Nasport in GT4 and GT5, winning the NorPac Divisional Championship in 1990, ’91, ’92, and ’93. Steve was also the Nasport GT4 champion in 1993.
In 2009, he became the SCCA Oregon Region Champion driving a ’71 240Z. In 2010, he was the SCCA NorPac Divisional Champion in a ’74 260Z.
Steve has built countless street projects ranging from mild restorations to wild custom builds.
PAM KIRMEIER
Pam Kirmeier, born in Silverton, Oregon, is best described as a Datsun fanatic. She collects everything Datsun—models, die-cast toys, literature, and more.
Pam purchased her first Datsun, a ’71 510, in 1980. She began auto-crossing in 1984 and won the Western Oregon and Washington Autocross Championship in 1987, having finished 2nd the previous year.
Pam began auto racing in 1988 and also competes in hill climbs. In August 2001, she won the Queen of the Hill award for the fastest ladies’ time at the Bible Creek Hillclimb in Willamina, OR.
